I loved my time working with the Kisses team, designing and illustrating packs that celebrate both season and flavor within the Kisses world. Below I’ve included a couple of my favorite packs I’ve worked on—the Monster Kisses pack and the Lava Cake pack.
The Monster Kisses pack is one that I still love seeing on shelves and in candy dishes every year when Halloween rolls around.
Our team was asked to create a non-registered foil design that would delight with eye-catching seasonal cues, both in store and at home. I love that these colorful monster foils make for such a vibrant little candy dish that so many people are proud to display in their home for spooky season!
Lava Cake Kisses were a seasonal innovation. The team’s goal was to create an outer bag and foils that would evoke the warmth of a candy that is meant to imitate the eating experience of a gooey molten lava cake that might be eaten at a romantic Valentine’s dinner.
In designing this packaging, I was inspired by the idea of sharing a dessert at the end of a romantic date. When you open up the outer packaging, you’ll find chocolate-colored foils with chocolate plumes—much like the delightful chocolate you find when you stick your fork into a lava cake.
